See photos & other media from this event here. Over 90 volunteers got together to comb the banks of the Susquehanna River, exceeding the weight of garbage, recyclables, and tires found during the 2013 cleanup (more than 6,000 pounds total). Volunteers found bottles, tires, lawn chairs, truck batteries and even an old refrigerator. Two pontoon boats served as “garbage barges” and helped to transport larger items. Registration began at the Sunbury Amphitheater and groups of volunteers branched off to different sections of the river, spanning from Sunbury to just south of Lewisburg. This landmark cleanup was followed by lunch and a concert at the Sunbury Ice Skating Rink with the following bands: Karen Nogle & Mark Tomeo, Monkey & The Engineers, and Earl Pickens.
