2015 Spring Cleanup
On May 2nd, 2015, over 120 volunteers gathered to skim the banks of the West Branch of the Susquehanna River from Milton to Sunbury and collected over 8,350 pounds of garbage, including scrap metal (which was then recycled), recycled materials, waste (non-recyclables), and over 80 tires (also recycled). Garbage was collected on foot and by boat (kayaks, motor boats, a stand-up paddle board, and a pontoon boat). This was all removed from a 7 mile stretch of the Susquehanna River!
