2016 Spring Cleanup
On May 7th, 2016, 100 volunteers gathered to skim the banks of the Susquehanna River from Danville to Sunbury and collected over 6,000 pounds of garbage, including scrap metal (which was then recycled), recycled materials, waste (non-recyclables), and over 40 tires (also recycled). Garbage was collected on foot and by boat (kayaks, motor boats, and a stand-up paddle board). This was all removed from a 4 mile stretch of the Susquehanna River!
